Black Friday acomin’

So, Thanksgiving is a week away and then the most notorious shopping day of the year, Black Friday.  This is where I sit back and watch reporters hype the frenzy that takes place by insane women who got up wayy to early in anticipation of saving a coupla bucks.  My favorites include fights in the aisle and at cash registers where poor officers of the peace must come along and bitch-slap these broads back to reality.  Anywho, now they have a website to go have a better ‘strategory’ to save more moola.  Enjoy

Best Buy, always the spoiled sport.

WAP on blog update

So, the other day I mentioned the WAP files for your WordPress blog.. well, it seems as though it may be a bit buggy. Just a day or two after my initial upload, the files crapped out on me. Nice. Having just reloaded the files, I can now post an entry here on my treo.. yea Time will tell to see if it fails again. Either way, I’l keep yous posted.

WAP your blog!

While traveling over the past couple days I tried to get on my blog and realized that I could not. It was one big long unintelligible vertical string of characters.  A quick search came up with the simpliest solution around.. download, unzip, copy, done.  Checked it right after it was copied and it worked like a champ!  Cheers!

Finally, something worth watching..

So I was trolling around watching videos from Break.com and YouTube.com that had “soldiers” in the search.  I was looking for some videos that were made by troops in Afghanistan and Iraq when I landed on this one.  Enjoy.

also, there are some great videos out there that show the wonderful, zany, hilarious, great and inspiring members of our military out there.  I recommend checking them out sometime.

 Cheers!

Got stacks of records and stacks of cash?

I have to say, there really is something about vinyl records.. that rawness in music, especially in opera, classical and jazz. Well, don’t keep your breath held any longer! ELP Corporation in Japan has come up with a state of the art solution that will not damage your precious disks. Remember that favorite record you owned that your bratty kid (or the stupid neighbors kid) warped by leaving it sitting near the window, letting the sun slowly melt it away and for some reason you’ve kept that silly thing?? Today’s your day! A new, laser turntable should be on your Festive Season Day [eg Christmas].

Could have been a Darwin Award contender…

but I have it on good authority, we’re gonna hear about this guy again!  Enjoy a video from Break.com that will make you cringe (nothing disgusting, sexual or inhumane, I promise)

America rebounds!

Finally, some good news for America.  We’ve finally won something!  Since the Winter Games when Bode Miller was going to bring not only one gold medal but five.  As fate has it, he produced nothing (granted, he was ambushed everywhere during the competition which may have had an effect on his performance.. even so, he still did not even place!)  Germany ends up taking First Place.  Then, there was another grand competition this year, the 2006 World Cup.  The US barely made it, and it was a win on technicality instead of performance.  All in all, it’s just disappointing that we couldn’t get a team that could work together seamlessly.

Now for the good news.  America has kept the coveted Tour de France from the rest of the world for another year!! Congrats to Floyd Landis.  Amid significant pain and discomfort, he was finally able to pull thru on the last leg of the race!

and finally, this weekend, Tiger Woods won the British Open!

After the last putt, I realized my dad’s never going to see this again, and I wish he could have seen this one last time,” Woods said at the trophy presentation. “He was out there today keeping me calm. I had a very calm feeling the entire week, especially today.

So, hopefully this is going to be a small ball rolling for more wins on the international level.

Bunnies rule!

For some reason, I’ve been running into quite a number of bunny and bunny related websites lately.  They seem to be a growing fad, but I’m not going to complain.

I have a friend of mine that works up in Philadelphia, PA and she was the first person to turn me on to the daily online comic strip, bunny.  This strip crosses a wide variety of topics and subjects, not only that, it can be frustrating at times if you don’t ‘get it’ right off.. your best bet is to load up Google and start from there.  Lem is also in the works of creating a book that will be sold whenever he gets around to recreating all of his work.  Wikipedia does a decent job of describing bunny here.
Then, while bouncing around on WordPress sites, I ran into the  The 30-Second Bunnies Theatre Library by  Angry Alien Productions.   If you have a few minutes to spare, this is definitely the site to check out.  Using flash, they re-create movies using bunnies as the characters and within 30 seconds, cover what occurs throughout the entire length of the movie.  Good stuff, you’ll watch them over and over.. what’s also nice, they’ve  amassed a good collection of them thus far.  Look forward to seeing more from this creative team.
