PAMA-rific!

PAMA Pomegranate LiqueurSo, the other day I went to the good ol’ ABC Store with a friend…one can never have enough alcohol. Unfortunately this was a smaller store and the selection was terrible. Since you can never have enough Kahlúa, that’s all I had to check out. As the register dude was ringing up the order, I noticed a display for a new Liqueur called PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur, or PAMA for short. Pomegranates? REALLY? This instantly made me think of Brian Regan’s bit about cranberries mixing into so many different foods and drinks lately. Well, I’ve noticed that the Pomegranate people are not getting paid enough, because they are working WAY to hard to get consumers attention to this fruit. We get it. Pomegranates are good for you. Got it.

I digress.

After looking over the bottle a few moments, realizing you can make a PAMA mojito. Mojito. mmmmm. But Pomegranate? So I read the back of the bottle, “Experience a Unique blend of..” don’t care.. skim-skim-skim.. “PAMA, the world’s first true pomegranate liqueur…” yea, okay.. whatever, skim-skim. “The legend lives on in PAMA” zzzzzzzzzzzz skim-skim. “Highly versatile, it can be enjoyed on the rocks or in you-blah blah blah…” You had me at rocks. Normally I don’t ask/care about the opinion of others, but then again, I don’t like buying shitty alcohol either. The register guy said that it was actually good. Okay. Let’s dance.

I could bore you with other banalities, but I’d rather just say that this is REALLY good. While definitely not required, it would help to already be able to recognize Pomegranates before trying, but those that have will find this right on the mark.

Check them out and pick up a bottle. You and yours will not be disappointed.

Ran across a link that Season 2 of ‘30 Days’ is coming out on DVD on March 11th.  This made me think, what happened to this show?  Whether you like Morgan Spurlock or not, this is an interesting concept, which many may disagree for a handful of inaccuracies, does open the viewers eyes.  Seeing how at this point in my life, I’m not terribly interested in buying more stuff.. I was curious on whether or not I am going to be able to view new episodes, I zipped over to Wiki and found this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30_Days) stating that Fox’s FX channel has ordered another season of six episodes. YEA!
